I just bought the SebastiAn album Total and it’s fun and all over the place. Mostly I like it, but I admit it’s hard to know what to think sometimes. But I was just listening to the song Love in Motion and noticed an uncanny resemblance to the INXS song Need You Tonight.

Two choice slow burners here. One is a complete reimagining of the old daft punk classic “Around the World”. If your looking for that same energy of the original, you won’t find it here on this 10″ as they rework its vocal into an ill bass rub on this slow remake. Recommended for that Dj (thats you Marked Features!) that likes to experiment a bit in his/her sets. Great stuff here. Watch out for this duo on other labels.
I made a new track, remixing the Inspector Gadget theme. Most of what I did is cutting, looping and some effects. Again, this was made using Reaper.

Here is a track, inspired initially by Juan Maclean’s Happy House, but ended up quite different. The original inspiration was with the keyboard chord stabbing. This track is also the first where I’ve used an exciter and a compressor to try to round out the sound. Hopefully it pops a little better as a result. There is also a sample from Otto von Schirach in there.
Here are two tracks I’ve played around making. The first is a composition sampling from Regina Spektor’s first album. The second is a live take from Reaper using Native Instruments’ Kontakt 4 (my new toy).
